Helping Others is Who We Are
L.I.F.T R&R was founded in 2019 by Rolanda Macharia. After a devastating house fire which left her and her sixteen-year-old daughter without a home, father, and husband, she found herself in need of the most basic resources such as food, clothing, furniture, and grief support. In her search for support, she found that there were many nonprofits right in her community that she was unaware of because they did not have marketing for visibility. Recognizing this need Rolanda birthed LIFT R&R in an effort to bridge the gap. L.I.F.T. provides free marketing resources to local nonprofits to enhance their visibility and referrals to free or low-cost services for community residents in poverty or lacking resources. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, volunteers, business partnerships, and nonprofit organizations, since its inception in 2019 we have donated over $50,000 in essential products and services to our local community. These include our staple campaigns, such as Another Man's Treasure, Spring into Action care packages, A Senior's holiday, and Toys for Tots distribution. These events provide the underprivileged in our community with free quality furniture, food, clothing, gift cards, personal hygiene products, lodging expenses, infant and geriatric supplies, and so much more. But we don't stop there. We live by the motto that if you give a man a fish he will eat for a day, but if you teach him how to fish he will eat for a lifetime. With this in mind, we equip our community residents with training, educational, and employment resources. These include our collaborations with Texas Workforce Solutions, Attitudes & Attire, Bank of America Better Money Habits, and much more. Join us in LIFTing up others in need.
